The Three E's of Silverfern
Hi, I'm Annette!
My job as Silverfern's 3E Coordinator is to book some great singers and truly funny comedians to perform in our auditorium, make sure everyone has the agenda for the upcoming meeting of the current events club, get us great seats for the Bengal’s game, and make sure we have transportation ready to get us to and back from the antique show at the Heritage Center. Oh, and learning about what is coming up and signing up for a class, a discussion group, or an event is a snap. You do it all electronically from your apartment, even while lying in bed. Talk about convenience.
Entertainment
Everyone likes to be entertained. Singers, dancers, comedians and musicians of every type can perform in our gracious auditorium. Cincinnati offers almost an unlimited variety of entertainers and our 3E’s Coordinator knows how to book them and bring them to us. All you have to do is take your seat.
A Residents’ Committee will work with the 3E Coordinator to help her select a variety of entertainers to make all our residents happy.
Events
You can sign up to go to see the Bengals, Cincinnati’s much loved football team or maybe the Reds who have been playing baseball in Cincinnati since 1866! We’ll also be going to hockey at the Heritage Center and the Western & Southern Tennis Open played in Cincinnati each August.
Theatre, concerts, dance recitals and visits to restaurants and clubs all find their way onto the events calendar which is created by the 3E’s Coordinator with the help of a residents’ committee.
Education
Whoever said, “you are never too old to learn something new” was right. He should have added, …and it’s fun” With the University of Cincinnati only 20 minutes away, we can have guest speakers on history, current events, book clubs of every type, music and art. A residents’ committee will help the 3E’s Coordinator create a calendar of lectures and seminars to explore the varied interests of our residents. The auditorium and two more causal education rooms allow for courses of every size and always in the right size room for lively interaction.
